Week 2 - Reflection

Task 1 Reflection

I think this task has made me think about the world differently. Think about how I can see things I may see in my everyday at home, on the drive to and from uni and more in a way that can inspire me to experiment with things I may not have before. It is an interesting task and i have really enjoyed just looking around, (way to closely at some things), to find these letters. This Task has seriously forced me to think outside the box which has lifted up my creativity and allowed me to look around to find inspiration in my everyday creative processes.  My Top three letters that i have taken photos of are attached below:

This was my picture for the letter ‘A’. I really like how unique it looks and it makes me very happy . It just kinda struck me when I saw it and basically reacted by saying ‘Oh my god. The button is an A.’ It looks very visually interesting and I love how it looks.

This one was the ‘O’ I ended up taking. I like this one simply because it’s something I’ve seen in everyday life for ages upon ages yet never realised it was actually an O shape. I don’t think I ever would’ve realised had I not done this task, (which is kinda funny because it’s very obvious on reflection…).

This is my all time favourite. its a broken needle that happened when I was sewing, I just put it on my machine when i was changing the needle and before i started sewing again, i was answering messages and talking about this task, Then I realised I had literally placed this broken needle into a ‘r’ shape without realising it. I really really liked this photo and it makes me laugh. But aside from all of that, it functions as a really really effective r that looks great.

This task really made me open my eyes to what can be out there and how it can be twisted in my own creative thinking.
